I am approaching six months into my Encore Career.

I am working a part time schedule, about 12 hours per week. I fill that time up on Monday, Tuesday and sometimes Wednesday mornings.

I have been doing the Food Pantry runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I pick up milk, baked goods and other products just at expiration date and bring to the food pantry, I get to the Ashley Farm at 9:00 am do the pickup and deliver to the food pantry and usually I am home by 9:30.

The work is going well, it is different not being the overall lead, although I lead most of the projects for the assigned client and I am available to solution issues as they arise.

The team is progressing and I am trying to make sure they are ready for when I fully retire.

I have read two books recently, The Big Alone by Kristin Hannah and The Goldfinch by Donna Tarrt, the first is an historical fiction and the other is fiction mystery. Both books held the interest and were page turners; you could not put them down because you knew what you wanted to happen but had no idea if that it would and you could not wait to get to the end.

I also admired both authors for the way the tied the whole story together at the end.

I am getting ready to plant seeds for the spring planting in the garden.

I am doing well and feel good, the phase into retirement and my encore career is going well!
